A team that included D99 culinary students earned 1st place at the Illinois ProStart Invitational. Ashlynn Zimniewicz (DGS) and Ireland Lenz (DGN) were part of the team. The team is now headed to the 2025 National ProStart Invitational in Baltimore to compete against the best in the nation! D99 students are part of the Professional Cooking, Baking, and Service program at Technology Center of DuPage (TCD).
The Illinois competition was hosted by the Illinois Restaurant Association Educational Foundation, while the national event is organized by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. The event provides students with the opportunity to connect with top chefs and industry pros.
