The Science Department emphasizes the importance of scientific knowledge in today’s world. We provide a dynamic approach to learning through regional and in-house field trips, practical labs, and conferences that connect students with real-world science experiences.

We offer a range of science tracks, tailored to students’ interests and abilities, from advanced 400-level courses to 200-level classes for extra support. The Science Department offers courses that are sequential in nature and prepare students for college in the biological and physical sciences. Most college admissions criteria include a minimum of at least three credits in laboratory science. Students aiming for careers in science, health, or technical fields should pursue a strong science foundation, and will receive guidance from faculty and counselors in course selection.
