Library

Our Vision

The DGN Library is in the unique position of being the one place that brings all subjects and people together, providing rich opportunities to empower students through instruction and resources.  We strive to create a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for all students and staff.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to develop students who are independent and effective users of information.  These information management skills are integral to academic achievement, to responsible participation in a democratic society, and to lifelong learning.

The library will supply access to materials in a variety of formats, provide instruction in use, and promote appreciation of reading-- in collaboration with classroom teachers to meet curriculum objectives.

Students are encouraged to use the library for information gathering, resources, assignments, and personal interests.  The librarians will assist individual students and classes in selecting materials and will give instruction in research techniques.
